I don't care much about the combat as long as it doesn't get really tedious. I'm more into the plot and decision making. Dogmatix314 22:08, November 7, 2011 (UTC)
Combat in ME3 is exactly the same as ME2. Land Raider 22:14, November 7, 2011 (UTC)
I like ME2 combat, I think they're doing great with the ME3 combat. BUT! AS LONG they don't put the ME1 combat system. Then it's all good.
Far as I understand, ME3 combat is much the same as in ME2, just with a few tweaks to make it faster and smoother, which is fine by me. I like ME2's combat system pretty well, though I very occasionally have stupid issues with cover and such. If those are patched up in ME3, I should be pretty happy.
^ This pretty much sums it up. Mass 2 has a decent combat system already in place, but Mass 3 expands on it while improving its implementation and bringing back some of the Mass 1 combat's RPG elements. That being said, why would you want to go back to Mass 1's combat anyway? Hardcore and Insanity in Mass 1 was just an Immunity spamfest; at least there's some strategy at work in ME2's harder difficulty levels. 18.104.22.168 02:22, November 8, 2011 (UTC)
