Some of the most important guidelines are:

• Type ~~~ (three tildes) at the end of your posts. It creates a personal signature. Please don't use four tildes (~~~~), as other wikis advise you to. It creates a needlessly long timestamp.
• Put effort into spelling, capitalization and punctuation. It helps attract attention to your posts and earn respect.
• Try to keep from rephrasing questions, it leaves a mess of redirect links. If rephrasing is crucial, post a new question and post {{delete}} into the old one to mark it for deletion.
• Try to keep your contributions on the site relevant to the Mass Effect series.
• Type ---- (four hyphens) above your posts to separate them from others. This code is displayed as a smooth line, which allows to easily discern between posts.
• Check Mass Effect Wiki, ME1&2 FAQ and ME3 FAQ for quick answers to common questions.
