Go talk to her again. As long as she dosen't say "Fuck Off", You're good.
That's normal (for Jack, I mean). The idea is that she's into you, but she's wary of acting on her feelings. Do a mission, then go talk to her again. She'll explain why.
>>> sorry to answer with a question (merely out of curiosity) - but why the hell would anyone like to romance Jack??? aside from Jacob one of the most unpleasant characters in ME2... I admit, Jack is still far more acceptable for me than that stupid Jacob, but if you're playing male Shep, you have still Tali and Miranda as romance options, so WHY Jack???
====> Because on my first playthrough, I did a pretty much paragon model Shepard. In that case, Tali suits to that role. Now on my second pt, my Shepard is on a renegade rampant. He is, really, a vile person. Its more difficult to play a renegade in this game because you are constantly helping your crew, it feels weird... But hey romancing Jack on renegade feels more appropiate than Tali. Excuse my poor english. :)
- I like Jack. Frankly, she's probably my favorite female love interest in the series. I like the other female love interests in ME2 just fine, as well (including the "secondary" ones like Kelly and Samara), but Jack's always been my go-to choice for romance, and she was also the first person I ever romanced in a Mass Effect game. I realize all of this places me in a minority among Mass Effect gamers, but there it is.
^ Because people are entitled to their own opinions, and maybe he's curious as to how that plays out in ME3? Don't get me wrong, Tali wins every time for me, but I do have a save in my "Ashley-romanced" career for each ME2 romance to import into ME3, just to see how they all play out. Jack's romance didn't seem that great a choice, but I still have a file for it, whereas Tali was the best and Miranda is a close second. Aside from that and the Virmire Survivor, I don't have radically different playthroughs, all of my big plot decisions are Paragon. Now, @OP, Jack has three romance related dialogues after the Loyalty Mission, whereas Miranda and Tali have two. The first refuses casual sex, the second is what you got. The third she talks about a guy from her past, and that's where the romance gets 'locked in.'
I definitely refuse to romance Jack. She's gonna kill you, if you betray her in ME3. ;) GfmWeiss 07:03, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
Breaking up with somebody is hardly a betrayal, it's pretty normal. However, Jack's warped psyche could see it exactly that way. You know what? I kind of get why some people get attracted to this romance: it comes with an adrenaline-infusing sense of danger. xD Mitranim 07:13, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
Romancing Jack is a 24/7 suicide mission. :D GfmWeiss 07:17, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
Personally, I didn't romance Jack, but I understand why she is the way she is. I don't get why people think shes completely evil. K1LLERAnish 10:40, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
I personally don't think she's evil, she's just a victim of her own past. GfmWeiss 10:58, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
