Spectres get all sorts of interesting rights.Maybe they though he would blast his way through if they attempted to releive him of his guns.

To what? and which game? The answer is probably Spectre status. Even though they say he was reinstated, he was never really dismissed from spectre status either, there are plenty of reasons though... Ryanshowseason2 12:25, November 2, 2011 (UTC)

They should have stopped Shepard in ME2 the first time he visits the Citadel, before the meeting with Captain Bailey, but that scene wouldn't have gone anywhere anyway. TiberiusYakushev 13:46, November 2, 2011 (UTC)

There was a scene there about shepard being indicated as dead by their systems. But I doubt they confiscate ANY weapons on the citadel... How else would mercenaries like blue suns and blood pack body guards be walking around with them, with politicians no less! Shepard also is considered part of the Alliance the military organization of a species on the citadel that has an embassy. Disarming him and his security detail would be a pretty sketchy thing to do, kind of like scams in countries where you are asked to loan your passport as collateral ( see: DONT EVER DO IT ). In fact the "sir isaac newton" drill seargent on the citadel has an AR strapped to his back. Ryanshowseason2 17:43, November 2, 2011 (UTC)

Simplest answer...Bioware didnt have time to plan this out in detail. Its not just Shepard who carries weapons, or sneaks them in. Let me give you a few examples.

- Joram Talid's bodyguard

- Kolyat Krios

- 2 krogan bodyguard protecting the volus in Garrus's quest

- An entire bunch of Blue Suns mercenaries in the warehouse district (though I can't say for sure if that district ahs a no arms embargo)

So as you can see, C-Sec is hardly effective in keping weapons off the Citadel.

^ I think its more an issue of they aren't even trying to... For what reasons... I can only guess. Ryanshowseason2 13:54, November 4, 2011 (UTC)

I am pretty sure that Turian shopkeeper in Rodam's Expeditions mentions something about weapons restrictions on the Citadel if you ask him, but I can't remember what :/ TiberiusYakushev 15:27, November 4, 2011 (UTC)
